Spanish learner reading on a tablet at a café terrace

You’ve been studying for years.

You can already follow a podcast, read an article or watch a series in Spanish.

But when it really counts:

  • You understand far more than you can express.
  • You freeze when the conversation turns spontaneous.
  • You feel like you study more and more to get less and less.

There’s an explanation for this: understanding and speaking are different skills, and so far you’ve only trained one of them. To build fluency you need a clear grasp of the grammar, a way to turn what you listen to into real practice and, when the moment comes, someone who listens to you and corrects you. You need to train the other half.

There’s no single path to fluency

Two people at the same level can need completely different things.

I’m Lydia. I’ve been teaching Spanish for six years and I’m an official DELE examiner for Instituto Cervantes.

After working with hundreds of students, I’ve learned something: some people need more conversation. Others need to understand the logic of the language better. And others simply need to get back the confidence to use what they already know.

That’s why my first step is always to understand where you are and what’s holding you back before recommending a path forward.

If you’re not sure which option fits your case, let’s talk.
